D1 Champions
Division 1
Competitive Program Overview

The Division 1 program provides a competitive experience for players U8-U20 and represents club soccer at the highest possible level. It is a premier development program for the elite soccer player.

The Division 1 soccer experience places the technical, tactical, physical, and mental development of players as a focal point of the competitive curriculum.

Division 1 players compete in the top leagues in Northern California as well as in the top national leagues in the US. Providing an opportunity for elite players to grow in the most challenging and competitive environment possible is a priority for the Division 1 program.

Led by John Doyle (Mustang’s Director of Coaching, Assistant Coach for the San Jose Earthquakes, US National Team Captain, Defender and Captain of the San Jose Earthquakes), the Division 1 program brings together the most talented and committed players with the highest quality professional coaches and trainers. Many of the Division 1 coaches are former collegiate, national, and professional players that bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the program.

Through a large network of relationships, Division 1 coaches provide considerable opportunities for players to be identified for collegiate and national levels of play. The Division 1 program has a rich tradition of sending players to top colleges throughout the country.

As Mustang Soccer continues to increase the number of competitive teams in every age group, the Division 1 program is becoming recognized at state and national levels as an exemplary Division 1 program. Mustang’s Board of Directors has given their full support in making the Division 1 program successful as part of the Club’s overall goal of becoming one of the premier soccer clubs in America.
